Work from Home tips to feel productive




 Get up and get dressed:
The clothes we wear have meaning for us, whether it's 'work wear' or 'chill-out weekend wear'. When we get dressed we tell ourselves to act a certain way that connects with what you are wearing. So if you are staying in your PJ's you might be telling your brain it's time to rest or take it easy. I'm not saying that you need to get fully suited up, but give your brain the signal to help it differentiate between your relax and work routines. 


Clear out the clutter: You will feel so much better! Get rid of paper, garbage, and any other needless things from your home office. Furthermore, clutter does not only apply to physical objects. Digital clutter refers to non-essential applications on your screen. Organize your documents into folders and remove any files that are no longer needed. Go through your email address and archive important messages so you can concentrate on the most important ones.


Taking daily breaks is essential: When you work from home, it's easy to go too long without taking a break.   Working nonstop not only drains you emotionally but you may physically feel it as well.  Taking breaks during the day enhances your energy and strengthens your concentration.


Exercise and get outside: For me, this is my number one sanity saver! It's incredible what a walk or run outside will do for my mood. I might be having a horrible day or facing a problem that I can't solve and a quick walk, run or any kind of movement is like hitting the reset button. 


I'm sure that there are so many other strategies, these are just a few simple things that make an impact in my day and help boost productivity.
